About Us
Established in 1991, Macmillans is a family business based in Penwortham, South of Preston.
From the outset we have focused on the unusual in the gift market. Initially trading at 11 Priory Lane, the past 20 years have seen the acquisition of number 13 and three additional extensions to accommodate the expanding business.
2007 saw the shop undergo a major refurbishment and the opening of several new local businesses, resulting in Priory Lane (off Liverpool Road) developing into a thriving shopping area.
Over this time, Macmillans has developed into one of the North West's premier gift shops and picture framing outlets. We carry many of the leading design-led companies and have exclusivity in the area for many popular gifts, interior items and accessories, stocking a host of unique and individual products.
New ventures beckon in the future to further develop this much loved and inimitable business.
